15 years ago, Garage48 was born out of a simple idea- to build your first prototype within just 48 hours.

We didn’t think necessarily that this idea would be liked by so many of you, but here we are- 15 years in, more than 300 hackathons, over 50 countries worldwide.

Garage48 15-Year Anniversary Hackathon is brought to you from the wish to reconnect with all of the legendary hackers we have seen over the years, and to bring the spirit of old-school all-night hacking fueled by coffee and pizza back to life again.

🚀Calling all the OG hackathon participants we have met over the years, startup founders, and the hackers we are yet to meet! In collaboration with Startup Estonia and TalTech, we are celebrating 15 years of hacking and hustling with a legendary  Garage48 15-Year Anniversary Hackathon in Tallinn, 14-16 November 2025!

This hackathon is pretty basic, a back-to-the-roots type of a generic hackathon, no theme or topic, just like the good old days.  You are welcome to join with whatever crazy idea you have in mind.

Our ultimate old-school hackathon brings together the crème de la crème of the Estonian startup scene - Garage48 founders, our beloved community of mentors, and the old-time hackers, many of whom have turned their hackathon projects into successful startups, plus the new generation ready to create the next wave of success stories.

Come solo or with a team, bring your wildest idea or join someone else’s. Expect creativity, chaos, and the kind of magic that happens when top talent collides with bold ideas. We welcome you to come build your ideas into reality with us, just like the early Garage48 days!
