Join us on 10-11 March in Copenhagen at Cloud Fever – A hackathon with Novo Nordisk to build efficient cloud-based solutions that could be used in medical research. This is a fully onsite event!
The event is organised in cooperation with Garage48 and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to effectively bring the tech and research community together. This is a unique networking and learning opportunity that will provide you with insights into tech's role in the healthcare industry's innovation!
☁️ WHAT?
The 24h hackathon taking place at the Novo Nordisk Hub at ITU in Copenhagen is a chance to work on a real-world challenge using massive data sets in cross-functional teams from different universities. Your task is to build the most complete and/or the most efficient solution within the given time frame using Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Together with the support of AWS Denmark, we will equip you with the necessary tools to solve the challenge. This includes both training material and free temporary AWS accounts that you can use during the event. You will gain access to a training program from AWS prior to the hackathon to help you build your solution – this will take place onsite or you can work through the material online at a time that suits you. We strongly recommend taking a couple of hours for this to make the most of this opportunity.
Mentors from the Novo Nordisk team and certified solution architects from AWS will be on site during the event to provide support.
☁️ WHO?
We welcome students and recent graduates from all universities who have a technical or scientific background or are interested in cloud computing to sign up. At the hackathon, you’ll be solving a data-centric challenge, so some previous experience in coding or working with data is required to make the most out of the event. We will also provide successful applicants with AWS training material before the hackathon, so you are optimally prepared and can make the most out of the hackathon.
We’ll be sure to give you a proper brief at the beginning of the event and team formation will take place onsite. You’ll collaborate with individuals from a range of universities and backgrounds, complementing each other's skills.

As with most other fields, digitalisation is rapidly innovating and improving the healthcare industry. The main goals for data are to accelerate learning and automate lab processes, specifically thanks to the ability to share easy access to large data sets and build state-of-the-art analytical platforms.

We have up to 50 spots available to ensure we can provide everyone with the necessary mentorship. We will invite participants to join based on their previous experience as well as motivation.
