Jessica is a Mobile Tech Evangelist – a passion for which has seen her organize the first MobileBootCamp in Kenya; the first Facebook Developer Garage in Kenya; Co-Found AkiraChix, as well as collaborate with several institutions as lead researcher in various research studies. This and other efforts have seen her named TED Fellow 2009, as well as one of Kenya’s Top 40 Under 40 women in 2009 and 2011.
She has been the iHub Manager since its inception in March 2010, and has been instrumental in courting local, regional and international stakeholders to adopt Kenyan-made solutions.
